as a response to the public use of portable devices, swedish design partnership claesson koivisto rune has created ‘isola’ for italian furniture company tacchini. the lounge chair takes into account the modern lifestyle, and how the use of laptops and tablets changes the posture of the user. the relaxed positions prompted the organic, larger form. the armchair integrates an oval tabletop into the shell, encouraging a more intuitive use.
