when lockdown arrived at the beginning of 2020, many of us were determined to take up more noble pastimes. reading books, exercising, and generally leading a more wholesome life. but faced with the reality of the situation, some days it was much easier to curl up in front of our TVs or laptops and binge watch some of our favorite netflix shows.

it’s not uncommon for TV and film to be inspired by books. with this in mind, climadoor started to wonder… if popular netflix original shows were based on books (in particular, novels), what would they look like and would we want to read them? the answer was absolutely yes! so the team decided to design them. using the adobe creative suite, they drew inspiration from a number of classic reads and their favourite netflix shows – from tiger king to bojack horseman. the project aims to capture the essence of what the shows are about while still staying true to the vintage vibe.
