this coffee table by V & KO is supported by bust sculpture

dutch design studio V & KO reveals a colorful coffee table, which — as the creators say — is a functional piece of art. the object consists of two elements — a box painted with a geometrical pattern and man’s hands lifting it above the ground.

V & KO’s new table is reminiscent of original cubist paintings challenging the viewers with the selection of bright colors. under the box tabletop, an unexpected detail is hidden — the hands lifting it are part of the whole man’s bust with stretched arms colored in yellow.
