constance guisset: francis for petite friture
‘francis’ mirror series by constance guisset for petite friture

created by french designer constance guisset for the paris-based company petite friture, the ‘francis’ mirrors place soft washes of colour directly onto their viewing surfaces: the ‘results of a series using pigments vanishing on water‘ that are designed to suggest convexity and depth.

the pocket mirrors, produced in two colour models, have a diameter of 7.5cm (3 inches); a wall-hanging version measures 60cm (23.6 inches). the backs of all pieces are lacquered in black. the pocket mirrors feature a satin finger ribbon in a colour matching the mirror’s print, while the wall model can be inclined at a range of angles via an attached cord.
