after years of research, technical development and prototypes, french design studio constance guisset has introduced its first perfume bottle, named ‘ginza’ for japanese personal care company shiseido. seeking to achieve a harmonious balance between strength and grace, the design takes shape as a delicate glass bottle with a sculptural biface-like top.

‘ginza’ by constance guisset studio is a perfume bottle design that finds itself right between sensuality and spirituality. the distinctive top appears as a mysterious sculpture that goes through the bottle, evoking the edge and the roundness of a biface. its emerged part, as if polished by the winds, forms the cap and invites users to touch it. levitating in the liquid, the monolith floats peacefully in a luminous atmosphere.

this suspended stone-like part is enveloped by a glass flask bottle with rounded sides. with its transparent look, ‘ginza’ reveals this inner world of perfume while protecting it. smooth and practical, the shape hides the technicality of the bottle, the realization of which required several years of research and development by the design studio and the shiseido team.
