originally designed in 2009 for the french culture institute in ankara, turkey, the ‘ankara collection’ by paris-based designer constance guisset has been re-released with matière grise in an all metal version. three tables from the first series and a new bedside and side table are folded, using screwed metal to make a family of objects, all with similar lines. balancing simplicity and sophistication, the various interpretations of the base are designed as geometric pleats, in a range of different colors. each item fulfills a prescribed function – including a dinning table 74cm high by 120cm in diameter, bistro table 74cm high by 70cm in diameter, and high bar table 110cm high by 70cm in diameter. the two new objects added to the collection, a a small, 50cm high table with a shelf and a lounge table, which offers flexibility as it can be used to have dinner on while sitting on the sofa, and also work at comfortably in the living room.
