constantinos hoursoglou: line light

adjustable task light

geneva based designer constantinos hoursoglou has a working proof of concept for his ‘line light’ a flexible, everyday LED task light for home or office use made from standard 10mm x 10mm anodized aluminium extrusions with a solid aluminium base. through a series of pivoting and rotation points, the light can be adjusted to the users requirements with no restrictions, even when folded it provides ambient illumination. the fabric covered cord permits a variety of color combinations.

the aim of the project was to design a light out of commercially available elements that is elegant, discreet and functional and is composed completely of off the shelf components.
