for the first time, taiwanese producer cooima has presented their newest collection at now! design à vivre during maison et objet 2013 in paris. featuring work from designers kenyon yeh, tomas kral + stéphane halmai-voisardkaschkasch cologne and knauf and brown, the series of objects includes a range of tables, seating, shelving and accessories for the home.

influenced by office pins, london-based designer kenyon yeh blows-up the dimensions of a common stationary accessory to create a playful interior element that can be used in a new context. the project, entitled ‘pushpin cork’, is characterized by an oversized familiar form and a warm-colored, natural cork. the modular object can be used in two different ways; sit on the smaller surface or flip over to use as a coffee or side table.

‘heavystock’ shelving system by knauf and brown

‘heavystock’ is a simple, clean, and sturdy low shelving system, consisting of ash legs and steel shelves. developed by canadian design duo calen knauf and conrad brown of knauf and brown, the modular unit showcases a light, paper-like profile that is sturdy and rigid when assembled. the corners of the steel bend down to join seamlessly to the legs and are attached on the bias, creating a deceptively stable connection. thanks to its four-sided design, the shelves can be put together in a number of configurations, and stack without any extra hardware.
