coppertist.wu’s stonewashed silver cobra coffee spoon 

 

Recalling its skin-crawling Rattlesnake Tail Pendant, Coppertist.Wu reveals the Cobra Coffee Spoon made of 925 sterling silver, fitted with some unique features that give it a sleek edge. For one, this stonewashed beauty takes the form of the mighty cobra, a venomous snake known for its expanding hood.

 

‘The spoon is inspired by the power that emanates from this regal creature when its hood is fully up. Seeing it in person is an incredibly grounding experience; we knew we had to recreate it in one of our products. We learned later that the hood is a series of rib-like bones that can open up and stretch the surrounding loose skin on the cobra’s head, giving the appearance of a hood. The snake only does this when it feels threatened and afraid. It makes them look bigger. The rest of the time, the head is not that different from other snakes,’ explains Coppertist.Wu.

The Silver Cobra Coffee Spoon was shaped using the process of wax casting, ensuring precision and quality when using the cutlery. Meanwhile, for added grandeur, the eyes of this life-like serpent are made from Zircon and have even been hand-set by Coppertist.Wu’s artisans (see more here).
