japanese studio daisuke yamamoto / de:sign has completed the diego collar keeper store in tokyo based on the theme ‘invisible circulation’. different shapes of the 5 cm tall and 1.5 cm wide items are on display – lined up like specimens within a cabinet with a special optical glass used on the surface to highlight them. the idea was to create a relaxed environment, so that customers feel welcome choosing their perfect fitting collar and take their time to discover their own form of shape, nestled away from the busy streets of tokyo. the space incorporates the glass, which is normally used for mobile phones to help protect people’s privacy in public, so that depending on where one stands their field of vision will either be transparent or opaque.
