the ‘balance stool’ by darryl agawin is part of the toronto, canada-based product designer’s ‘no, sweat!’ workstation and exercise set. influenced by danish and japanese design principles, the furniture’s defining component appears in the form of an innovative ‘wobble’ seat. this particular piece, with the ability to be removed at any time, enables passive strengthening and balance exercises for the user.

the stool’s clean lines fit into any work environment and its solid ash construction makes for a durable piece that can stand up to repeated active use. its exterior features natural soap finish that provides a an easy-to-clean, smooth rocking platform. this visually simplistic stool utilizes CNC production techniques to provide simple assembly for the end user.
