in conceiving the ‘double zero’ range of seating for moroso, david adjaye wanted to create a design that really encompassed the basic principles of body support both visually and structurally. at its core, ‘double zero’ is characterized by a framing system that supports each chair without the input of traditional legs. rather, two circular elements — the seat and the back — that are enclosed by a series of metal hoops that produce a very strong iconic image of the seat from all angles, and which make the ‘double zero’ seem as if it is suspended in mind air.
