david thulstrup wax installation designboom
david thulstrup revisits the dining experience by creating an experimental work that draws on the nordic approach to food — giving credit to simplicity, colors and natural local ingredients. the danish designer’s ‘wax installation’ focuses on the social and atmospheric aspects of eating through the creation of a dining table that offers coziness through color, candles and wood. the resulting furniture piece sees the application of wax projecting the appearance of cloth, dripping downwards to give the precisely cut wooden slats a softer, more animated look.
