the ‘butterfly’ collection is a lounging system that supports a canopy resembling the winged insect from which it takes its name. conceived by jirachai tangkijngamwong for thai outdoor furniture company deesawat, the structure is made from generous planks of teak wood that express a strength and beauty that communicates the brand’s commitment towards using natural and sustainable materials in the development of their products. the two-bed layout of ‘butterfly’ has been realized for both commercial hotel and beach projects, as well as for personal use; ideal for placement by the pool, or on a dock by the water, offering a relaxing retreat in which to take in one’s surroundings.

the ‘butterfly’ outdoor lounge for two is being featured at the 2014 salone del mobile from april 8-13.
