delta light’s stand at biennale interieur 2012 kortrijk

at biennale interieur 2012 in kortrijk, belgium, delta light‘s stand was anything but ordinary. visitors were met by a large boulder measuring 1.86 metres high held up by black cylindrical pillars. on appearance, the installation appeared empty, however upon entering the space covered by this looming monolithic structure and looking upwards, large circular cut outs of varying diameter were revealed. within each of these holes, different scenes were set up to display the architectural lighting brand’s top products in an unconventional way. the booth was like a gigantic spyglass, demonstrating how one uses light to make a space warm or cold, how to increase it in size or make it smaller, or how to bring structures and materials to life.delta light at biennale interieur 2012 kortrijk - 2as one enters the space they see the circular cut-outs within the base of the boulder
