i29 infuses dental clinic in amsterdam with soothing green tone and ample daylight

dentista by i29 welcomes visitors into a wellness ambience

a new dental clinic in central amsterdam combines a soothing green atmosphere with medical professionalism. once inside, natural wood, abundant greenery, and an open plan layout gently welcome visitors before their appointment. both the architectural design and brand identity are led by local studio i29 to create a unified and clear tone of voice for this first location of the ‘dentista’ clinic chain. ‘our design strategy was to bring together a clean, fresh, medical environment and a health inducing wellness experience so patients feel comfortable and at ease,‘ shares i29.

sharp lines, clean white finishing, and ample daylight 

for dentista, the i29 team used sharp lines and a clean white wall finishing to practically and intuitively refer to medical professionalism. balancing those features are LED rings on the ceiling and a central garden that radiate ample lighting through the entire practice. while lush greenery separates the waiting room from the busy street outside, the sharp-angled green zone and reception desk separate the waiting area from treatment rooms, where a hidden courtyard garden provides views of nature and plenty of daylight. 

dentista by i29 greets visitors into a muted green reception area to feel at ease

moving to the actual clinic and lying in the dentist chair, patients get a soothing view of a large and round skylight. further back, special rooms accommodate state-of-the-art technology, including X-ray and a sterilization area. the project was completed back in december 2021, with construction and interior works done in collaboration with UMB group and cornelissen interieurs.
