Founded in 1982, Domus Academy was one of the pioneers for post-graduate design schools in Italy and Milan — the capital for design. Today, it still is an iconic and leading institute for designers of the future to gain real-world experience in the industry. Students learn in an open environment alongside other creators, taught by professionals, and work with real projects set by visionary companies. Domus Academy continues to support the next generation of talent through scholarships in 2023.

The project-based competition challenges prospective Masters students to respond to different briefs set by the faculty — a team of international professionals in the respective fields. The specifics of the each brief focus on current or future challenges, covering topics like sustainability, diversity, inclusivity, circularity and more. This competition is aimed for those enrolling for the Academic Masters programs and Double Award Masters programs starting in September and November 2023.

In contrast, the portfolio competition is targeted towards students who wish to enrol in the Academic Masters programs, Double Award Masters programs, and 2-year Master of Arts programs. These start in September 2023 respectively, and the 2-year Master of Arts programs from October 2023.
