dror: peacock chair for cappellini

the peacock chair comes in fitting colors of blue or green, or a combination of both image courtesy of studio dror

the peacock chair is dror‘s first collaboration with furniture manufacturer cappellini. designed by dror benshetrit, the chair’s form is created out of three sheets of felt and a minimal metal frame. the folds of the felt are woven tightly in order to form the structured but comfortable lounge chair. no sewing, weaving or upholstery are involved in the production of the piece.

  • You can take Dror from the 80s, but you can’t the 80’s from Dror.

Boy, this looks sooooo dated. What happening with you Mr. Cappellini?

    mod says:
  • Cool chair!
But you say it’s woven tightly….but then “no weaving involved”…it’s the same thing…

    K says:
  • whats up with the legs, looks like a school project
