EDRA’S SIMULTANEOUS PRESENTATIONS AT MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2026

At Milan Design Week 2026, Italian brand Edra provided inspiration and meaningful encounters through three simultaneous exhibitions at Salone del Mobile fairground, Palazzo Durini, and ‘Edra Evening of Honour’ at Teatro alla Scala. The 2026 key feature is the Anywhere sofa by Francesco Binfaré. From a path rooted in a condensed line of research, Edra maintains its clear vision in creating furniture pieces that prioritize the highest quality in comfort, refinement, and performance.

HIGH QUALITY MATERIALS AND PERFORMANCE INTO EXPRESSIVE DESIGN

With headquarters in Tuscany, Edra is recognized for translating art, craftsmanship, technological research, and fine materials into products that speak for themselves. Since 1987, the brand has nurtured a design language that deeply embeds research and experimentation through collaborative design, pursuing the greatest comfort and performance in designs crafted to last for generations. This philosophy naturally echoes into Edra’s latest releases, which goes far from simply launching new products and closer to the brand’s path built over time.

DESIGNS ROOTED IN TECHNOLOGIES AND MATERIALS EXPERIMENTS

The Anywhere sofa expands Edra’s portfolio, emerging from an advanced research process rather than filling a market space. This original design overturns common sense, rethinking how comfort can be experienced. Designed by Francesco Binfaré, this piece features the Smart Cushion – Edra’s patented technology – which allows the inclination and rotation of its backrest on a pivot so its seat depth and fluid leaning can be shaped as needed within a mobile element. Additionally, the sofa acts as a dynamic piece in any space, able to be settled in different configurations through its modular system. With simple gestures, Anywhere sofa makes every posture natural and utterly comfortable.
