'bathe in the forest' with effe perfect wellness yoku SH sauna and hammam

like the forests that inspired it, the effe perfect wellness yoku – first debuted in 2018 – has grown. the new yoku SH combines a sauna, hammam and shower into your own single spa space. this can be tailored to your home as well as to public spaces. the design builds upon its namesake shinrin-yoku, a brand of japanese natural medicine that subscribes deep immersion in nature to promote health benefits and wellbeing.

the effe perfect wellness yoku SH is available in three specific editions before customization: the yoku D SH with a wooden sauna; the yoku G SH with a glass front and doors on both the sauna and hammam sides; and the yoku S SH with a glass front and shelving system.

designed by marco williams fagioli, the effe perfect wellness yoku SH’s essential, balanced and rigorous design reveals a cabin of complete wellbeing. as its name suggests, its architecture aims to recreate an experience as if immersed in a forest of trees. vertical columns of high performance natural wood – heat treated aspen, solid wood or black walnut – rise up to its canopy. the fronts of the yoku G and S editions then distinctively feature large backward smoked glass windows, where the opacity can be adjusted to the customer’s wishes.

whilst natural wood slats deck the inside of the sauna, stoneware covers the interior of the turkish bath. this creates a space that it is warm – literally in all aspects – and welcoming for users. the option of elegant library-like shelves can house objects, from books to towels and robes. this, as well as the stove casing, can be made from handcrafted etched natural sheets of timber. the heat source is integrated into the low bench of the sauna. this is to create a design more akin to the traditional configuration of a sauna as well as to accentuate a more balance aesthetic and its relaxing effect. LED lighting, RGB colourtheraphy and a two-piece shower kit completes the design.

in line with the artisanal philosophy of the italian brand, effe perfect wellness creates the yoku SH by merging traditional craftsmanship with advanced technologies. the results are always highly refined, perfectly calibrated and tailored for you, your needs and setting. each product is produced and pre-assembled in their factory in cesena, italy, before being installed for the customer, whether in your home or in a public space.
