with the adaptability and appeasing aesthetics to suit different public and private contexts, the architecture of the effegibi’s ‘bodylove’ is composed of a painted aluminum frame with glass wall and door panels, which are adorned in either super-clear or opaque finishes. the sauna+hammam edition features two distinct spaces within this framework, consisting of a variety of planes that seemingly suspend at different heights. here, the heat and water sources sit in the foreground so that, even from the outside, the functions of the zones are clearly defined.

in the sauna space, guests can relax on cantilevered wooden benches whilst housed within canadian hemlock, heat-treated solid wood, or mirror finished walls. these furnishings have receding bases that connect them to the heating system. decked in grès procelain, its material also adorns the ceiling where the RGB LED lighting glimmers down from.

with the same format as the sauna, the hammam features a bench with a teak backrest and footrest, which are laid on a perpendicular base that contains the nuvola smart power steam generator and also backs on to the wall. adversely, this space also boasts a contrasting carving of botticino marble where the taps, spring and shower controls are located, as well as a copper-finished stainless steel bowl. these fine details mirror those of traditional hammams and the rituals they encompass. taking its grand style to an even higher level, a grès porcelain ceiling-mounted shower head provides a re-energizing flow of water that mezmerizingly falls from above.

effegibi’s ‘bodylove’ design includes a niche recess on its outside to provide a convenient shelving space made from an aluminum frame and glass surface. with the interior cladded in 5mm-thick grès porcelain in champagne, dark auvergne grey or black-painted flute glass colors, the exterior offers similar customization with ceramic, wood, mirrored or black-painted glass options. this showcases the brand’s dedication to versatility and customization as they allow consumers to choose between an array of personalization options. the result, which will be on show during the 2017 ICFF new york, defines a flexible and enhanced design that, as well as suiting a variety of different contexts and customers, ensures functionality for complete user well-being.
