hub: national centre for craft and design september 12 – november 9, 2008

english designer eiry rock has had a big year in her very young career. she began by exhibiting her furniture at this year’s salonesatellite during milan design week and is now preparing new work for her show at hub and her display at 100% design at the london design festival. at hub she will exhibit in the main entrance along side mathias bengstton’s exhibit. the collection of unusual chair designs on show will explore the relationship between objects and their reliance on each other.

‘box chair storage’

‘flip chairs’

‘slot seating and utility unit’

‘box chair / child’s chair’

  • It is very nice idea of box chair/child’s chair and I understand the concept of the design as well.
But I do not like sitting with hitting my knee to a desk.
    Is the little box removable?
