kim pimmel is a designer, photographer, and inventor who just made one of the most amusing pet products we’ve seen to date. the DIY project saw pimmel design and build a custom electric skateboard for his cat to ride around the house. a small treat is placed into a throttle lever, which is pulled by the feline to retrieve a snack. upon pawing at the throttle, the skateboard is propelled forward and moves zooms the cat around — and she seems to like it.

we’ve seen some pretty absurd pet products designed for cats on designboom (like cat hair cat hats, an automatic flushable toilet, and mega milk carton play pen). see all of our articles dedicated to felines here — and features for dog-people here.
