‘flash adapter‘ is a device by ernest and agnieszka lysak that meets the needs of macro photographers around the world. the project contains a line of three diffusers that allow users to separate and direct the flow of light from the camera flash to the scene in the proper configuration. each polygonal construct consists of multiple outlet channels that are divided by blades, which can smoothly turn inwards or outwards to manage the amount of the illuminance at any percentage.

each version has a preferred use. the four-channel 5.2 model is the simplest, intended to work for short distances, with small macro scenes such as natural settings. the 6.1 medium size version, with six outlet channels, allows light to be directed with the precision and control of an indoor studio. the biggest type, 7.0, is designed to mount on an external flash. the strong light it is able to emit provides the opportunity to capture images of large scenes for fashion and portrait photography. ‘flash adapter’ hopes to make modeling with light and shade quick and easy for amateurs and professionals.
