different collaborations exhibited at esrawe showroom
esrawe studio is a multidisciplinary design atelier and a laboratory of concepts, a highly qualified creative and professional firm with international recognition. high-quality furniture developed and produced in mexico that over the years has become a reference in their country and in the world. the materials they work with are wood, metal, upholstery, and stone. the items exhibited are from collaborations with VISSIO, ewe and héctor esrawe and manu bañó.
vissio is a platform for unlimited experimentation resulting from a collaboration between designers, artists, and architects with ‘nouvel’ artisans to realize unique and limited-edition pieces that shatter boundaries between art and design. the pieces exhibited from VISSIO reinterpret glass to challenge and ignite the relationship between concept, form, and utility – beautifully. as for ewe, it is a design studio based in mexico city, devoted to the preservation and advancement of mexico’s rich artisan heritage. their designs embrace new mediums and languages for the execution of limited-edition sculptural and functional objects with a desire to reflect tradition as part of the natural flow of the design.

the third collaboration is with manu bañó obj-01. it is an object that needs no explanation. at a glance, it reveals its material, its manufacturing process, its function, and its use. pure geometric figures build the lighting fixture; a rectangle, a circle, and a cylinder at the back which contains the led spotlights. the circle, then cut out, adopts the function of a screen and can rotate 360° to direct the light at will.
finally, esrawe’s designs by hector esrawe consist of furniture, object, interior design, architecture, public space installations, museography, and limited editions. sculptural collectible pieces in numbered series ranging from 7 to 15 pieces per edition. the beauty and innovation of hector’s work lie in the understanding of the value of his cultural heritage, which allows him to translate it into new languages and possibilities.
