by christophe pillet, the ethimo ‘grand life’ lounge and dining collection, which comprises of sofas and over-sized chairs, truly encapsulates its name. it celebrates creativity, the culture of design, and the unmistakable grandeur of italian style in a combination of pure contemporary and comfort. by doing so, the editions evoke images of beautiful places, relaxing atmospheres, and authentic outdoor spaces.

the ‘grand life’ range delivers these impressions of relaxed lifestyle thanks to its artisanal manufacturing excellence and use of premium materials. constructing the body and surrounding its metal core, the warm and elegant teak combines with the skilfully weaved, lightweight acrylic rope of the backrests to define its ergonomic character. its comfort is further accentuated with fluffy, generously-sized pillows, which are made from soft, outdoor-suited fabrics.

luca nichetto encases the pure form of the ‘lucerna’ lamp in glass

as an unusual, evocative lighting accessory, the ethimo ‘lucerna’ lamp by luca nichetto aims to generate new moods in outdoor illumination. its design stems from the traditional oil lamps of the roman times, with its structure surrounded by a continuous bubble of glass. inside, the seemingly strong and pure structure itself adds a contemporary yet surprising nomadic spirit to the system

the extraordinary character of the ‘lucerna’ is highlighted even more so by its versatility. beneath its waterproof, anodized metal body, which is finished in either brushed steel or brass, the lamp contains LED lights, a battery, and a recharging system, although a fixed cable edition is available. this allows the portable design to be moved easily and placed on the floor, on a table, or hung up with the help of its decorative hook. to complete it, the lamp’s blown glass diffuser adorns one of three possible colors: smoky, anthracite grey and amber.
