participating in the design [r]evolution exhibition at the musée des arts et métiers for designers days in paris, fredrik färg and emma marg of swedish and french design studio färg & blanche present the ‘fly F-A-B’ chair. a further exploration of the ‘F-A-B’ project which considers the idea of a chair as being a nude body which can be dressed in ‘garments’, this latest iteration draws its influences from french engineer clément ader’s aeroplane ‘avion III’ which had a bat-like form. taking the simple ‘F-A-B’ chair, the duo has addressed its ‘bareness’ with a wing-like nylon extension which frames its back.
