featherlight aluminium chair – kirk by patrick frey

designed for indoor and outdoor use, ‘kirk’ is a feather light aluminum chair developed by patrick frey for vial. the concise alignment of the bending edges and sharp profiles result in a generously built shells in which one may sit comfortably. made from a special alloy, the aluminium is bent accordingly into the desired shape to form the seat, before the edges are folded to increase its stability. the overall construction resembles that of a sheet of paper that is loosely hanging from within a frame.
