Florim Ceramiche‘s Woodslate Life collection plays with slate and oak wood-inspired tiles, interpreted on a versatile and appealing color scale that ranges from gray to hazelnut, allowing different natural inspirations to be combined with ease. With such versatility, the clean simplicity of the wooden-looking tiles becomes the ideal backdrop for enhancing the textured patterning of slate-effect slabs, while their distinctive herringbone decorations are impactful enough to turn them into the main character of the room.

The slate-effect surfaces come in four colors ranging over cold and warm tones under the names Cotton; Dove; Storm; and Bark, while each colorway is available in both large Magnum oversize slabs and conventional tile sizes. Likewise, the wood-effect surfaces are finished in four shades: Dune; Champagne; Nutmeg; and Woodchunk. These nuances evoke the tones of different woods, like natural beech, maple, walnut and dark chestnut.

The range, made entirely in fine porcelain stoneware, features four decors. Wood Arrow reinterprets the classic Hungarian herringbone pattern with the heads of the boards cut at 60° in all four wood colors, which with its distinctive lines opens-up the space and introduces fluidity. Conversely, Slate Arrow makes reference to the classic Italian herringbone laying pattern with 90° angled slats, enhanced by the slate-effect texture, here available in two variants, the first combining the lighter shades of Cotton and Dove, the second the darker tones of Storm and Bark. Wood Slats combines four slats into a 30×120 module to create a 3D effect for use in both floor and wood paneling, as horizontal or vertical elements. The range is rounded off with the 3D 30×60 staggered brickwork module, available in all four slate-effect colors.
