tape installation by numen/for use

‘tape installation’ is a recent project by croatian design collective (sven jonke, christoph katzler and nikola radeljkovic ), numen/for use. 19 cardboard tubes acquired from the waste of carpet dealers were fixed to the floor and ceiling of the gallery of croation designer’s society. 118 roles of tape were randomly wrapped around the cardboard columns, forming the cords of the structure. from the subsequent multiple wrapping of tape over tape, the complex organic surface of the installation emerged. working without a strict plan, the resulting shapes have mutually similar forms. the entire installation took 96 hours and 95 euros to complete.
