if there’s one thing lacking in the countless bars, bistros and cafés of europe, it’s space. the ‘piccola’ chair is designed specifically for such locations. compared to a regular café chair, the seat is noticeably thinner and has a strong personality. the main detail is obsessively repeated in every encounter of beams that compose the piece. planks thin towards each joint, seemingly shooting directly into the mortise and tenon. ‘piccola’ chair was designed by francesco faccin and is manufactured by milan-based slow wood. the chair made its debut during milan design week 2015.
