vilnius-based student gaudutė žilytė’s ‘red dot’ chair is as simple as a piece of furniture can get — consisting of two basic elements, a carcass and a seat itself, the object is pretty much what its name says. the black-pipe base, together with the red fabric covering it, invites you to sit on it with its inaccessible deceptive depths.

žilytė’s chair comprises three structural parts — the carcass made of black pipe, the wooden hoop to fix the seat, and the taut red fabric. looking flat from the front, the fabric is hooked on the back pipe by a loop, creating a shape of a cone.
