designer gilles belley targets the problem of wasted energy consumption from plugged in chargers using 'power-peg', a socket with an auto shut-off feature.

telephone, walkman, mp3 and camera chargers that remains plugged into power outlets continue to consume energy, even after the device has been removed. french designer gilles belley has designed an outlet that eliminates energy waste. it automatically cuts off the power supply when the device is fully charged. several chords can be attached to it.
