industrial designer giorgio bonaguro created the ‘medusa’ fruitbowl with natural dynamism of jellyfish in mind. the creature, ‘medusa’ in italian, is translated into the glassware from a single cylinder of glass. through a long, somewhat unpredictable process, the blower heats and forms the material until the walls fold onto themselves. ruffles are naturally created, forming differently for each piece made. a subtle representation of the movement of ‘medusa’, the bowls showcase the sublimity of the ocean-bound animals.

each ‘medusa’ bowl is hand-blown, making each unique in its own way
