from furniture design, doors and even wall partitions that are as intricate as they are seemingly impossible, glas italia has graced the world with remarkable glass pieces since the 1970s. the innovations are the result of vast experience combined with technical knowledge and, most importantly, an innate passion for working with glass. these characteristics sometimes seem as invisible as their own glasswork yet they are truly unique and defining to the brand. a new short film, titled ‘all the invisible’, aims to reveal these excellencies with an exclusive insight into their advance production setup.

at milan design week 2019 for example, glas italia launched new and updated collections with renowned creatives, including piero lissoni, mario bellini, philippe starck, patricia urquiola and yabu pushelberg. each piece resounded in their ability to blend impressions of sculpture with pure functionality. as their video highlights, it is the refinement of their unique production and craftsmanship that makes it possible to realize these individual products.

the ‘all the invisible’ concept begins with its inspiration: the inexhaustible passion that permeates every phase of glas italia’s production. this devotion and art to glasswork is combined with the use of advanced glass transformation techniques. together with constant formal and aesthetic development, this enables the brand – along with their creative collaborators – to constantly push boundaries, challenge themselves, and deliver the impossible.

this project has been created to magnify the many phases that lie behind each glas italia product. the aim is to make the invisible visible’ and to accompany the spectator in a suggestive stages journey where creativity, ancient knowledge and advanced industrial techniques make possible the production of  extremely refined glass objects and ambassadors of italian design in the world. in an ideal cross-reference to the film fantasia we have created an editing of emotional and powerful images and musicconcludes federico pepe, founder and art director of le dictateur studio, who created the film.
