Florim presents SensiColore, a ceramic collection that translates the essence and spirit of Italy into a contemporary architectural language. Designed by Matteo Thun and Benedetto Fasciana, the series finds its soul in Goethe’s diary ‘Italian Journey’, as a tactile ode to the country’s natural landscape. This latest introduction follows the sensory lineage of the brand’s previous collections Sensi and SensiTerre, exploring a sensory geography rooted in nature’s raw purity blended with artisanal work and technological alchemy.

The series unfolds from the synergy between Florim and the architectural vision of Matteo Thun and Benedetto Fasciana. Together, they translate Goethe’s journey through Italy, told in colour and timeless landscapes, into a sensory material experience. Driven by this vision of painterly sensitivity, the brand ensures every shade of the SensiColore ceramic collection embodies atmospheres that evokes memory, fleeting sensations, and associations.  

HERITAGE CRAFTSMANSHIP RESULTING IN DIVERSE GRAPHIC EXPRESSIONS

The palette of SensiColore is a curated study of the Italian landscapes. Within chromatic groups and natural shades, it creates a journey of hues that begins with the luminous, chalky whites of Sicily’s Scala dei Turchi and the ivory shores of Sardinia. The tones shift from the vibrant brick-rosé and ochre sunsets of Tuscany and the Marche to the green valleys of Veneto and Trentino. Moving west, the landscapes are defined by vibrant blue hues that recall Piedmont’s lakes and the brilliant turquoise of the Ligurian Sea.

Ultimately deepening into browns,  these earthy tones bring warmth to the ceramic series, creating tactile, organic atmospheres.

Through the combination of artisanal soul with technological precision, the SensiColore porcelain stoneware reimagines the heritage of the long-kiln firing process. It channels the traditional oxidation effects once found in tunnel and muffled kilns to achieve a deliberately irregular watercolor effect. This technical mastery ensures that each slab maintains chromatic consistency while presenting a dynamic play of light and shadow across its surface.
