fascinated by the temporary atmospheres a simple stick and piece of fabric can generate, french born, netherlands-based designer gomar has created a series of indoor camping furniture ‘charade’. influenced by research on nomadism within restricted environments, and the act of bringing a typically outdoor living situation inside, the collection seeks to reconsider traditional furniture settings. produced along with netherlands-based buitink technology, the lightweight pieces balance texture, flexibility and colors, using regular metal tubes for their structures combined with sailcloth and kite textiles. ‘charade’ consists of two lamps, a table and a stool, providing a complete camping set up. the easy to assemble designs enable a temporary, nomadic-like setting without you ever having to leave the living room.
