Jiri Krejcirik reinterprets the vanity table through gradients

Czech designer Jiri Krejcirik revisits the forgotten elegance of vanity tables with his latest creation, Ladislava. Part of the Personae collection, this contemporary interpretation of the vanity table combines traditional silhouettes with bold sculptural elements. Handcrafted in the Czech Republic, Ladislava features a swivel brass mirror and a distinctive pyramid of velvet-upholstered drawers veneered in exotic ziricote wood. These drawers, adorned with mother-of-pearl inlays and brass handles, rest atop a stained ash wood table with a gradient finish in blue and red, offering additional spacious storage.

Ladislava features two drawer types and matching stool

The table reflects the product and spatial designer Jiri Krejcirik’s vision of reinterpreting classic furniture with contemporary artistry. Standing at 1600 x 380 x 1455 mm, the Ladislava vanity table includes four large drawers designed to store jewelry, toiletries, and other essentials, complementing the pyramid of smaller drawers above. Accompanying the table is the Arnaud Stool, crafted from ash wood to match the vibrant gradient finish, creating a cohesive and striking set.

Detailing plays a key role in the appeal of the piece. The ziricote veneer, known for its dark, intricate grain, contrasts with the luminous mother-of-pearl inlays, adding depth. Meanwhile, the brass accents and the carved details on the mirror emphasize its sophisticated approach.
