munich-based industrial designer bastian müller’s brand patronace reveals soft protection jackets unique to the market. titled GRDXKN, the newly invented, textile printing technology integrates mechanical material performance into the soft textile itself, and enables two-dimensional colors to become three-dimensional in parts.

lightweight and sturdy, flexible and abrasion resistant, the patronace’s clothing processes the color — which used to be purely decorative — and makes a functional, architectural structure. the result can be obtained with almost every kind of fabric, from genuine leather to light-reflecting materials.

the brand asserts that the jackets can support any accelerated urban mobility, whether you’re riding your e-bike or skateboarding. ‘we use fabrics which are breathable from the inside and hydrophobic from the outside,’ explains müller. ‘because of their suppleness, our clothes are also perfect for wearing during your urban daily life.’
