‘no more whatever the fuck they’re doing in there’ SAYS GRETA THUNBERG

climate activist greta thunberg has denounced world leaders at a rally yesterday afternoon in glasgow. among fellow protesters in festival park in govan, thunberg criticized the lack of leadership and real action from governments at the COP26 climate conference.

thunberg told protestors, ‘inside COP, they are just politicians and people in power pretending to take our future seriously, pretending to take our present seriously of the people who are being affected already today by the climate crisis.

change is not going to come from inside there. that is not leadership, this is leadership. this is what leadership looks like.

we say no more ‘blah blah blah’, no more exploitation of people and nature and the planet. no more whatever the fuck they’re doing in there. we’re sick and tired of it and we’re gonna make the change whether they like it or not.’

many news outlets have been commenting on thunberg’s colorful — I’d say glaswegian — use of language, to which the 18-year-old tweeted:

met by a swarm of young supporters, thunberg arrived in glasgow for COP26 by train on october 30th. while in the city, the swedish activist will join the climate strike on friday, november 5th in kelvingrove park, and the glasgow climate march on saturday, november 6th.

thunberg’s criticism of the UN’s 26th climate change conference comes after 105 world leaders signed a pledge to end deforestation by 2030
