the ‘bow tie chair’ was created by taiwanese gridesign studio, a one-man effort headed by designer scott lin. the seat is produced from a series of 13 sections of bent, laminated bamboo. through repetition, ‘bow tie chair’ delivers a unique combination of simplicity and fashionability. three storage areas are present in the object, located directly under the seat and sides. aside from providing usable space, the construction provides constant ventilation for a cool, comfortable seat no matter the temperature
