HaaT (ISSEY MIYAKE INC.) textiles are organically filled with gentleness and rich depth. unimaginably delicate details lend a strong appeal that takes form as each piece of clothing is delivered into the world. fullness is achieved through many intricate, labor intensive manufacturing processes, all of which are apparent in the finished works. in order to properly compliment this collection in an exhibition, japanese studio h220430 has designed a way for viewers to intuitively experience the appeal of these garments.

by viewing them through natural ‘dewdrop’ glass lenses that have been custom-made for the show, visitors are given a different perspective. when placed on a surface or a sheet of fabric, the bulbous shapes magnify views of the space, highlight each stitch, and distinguish the textural patterns to enhance the overall experience. within the round gallery, the displayed items and transparent accessories have been arranged on smooth-edged tables in a way that flows with the pattern of water ripples.
