japanese sports equipment and sportswear company mizuno has enlisted hajime sorayama to revisit the wave prophecy silhouette. dubbed the mizuno wave prophecy sorayama, the sneaker is the latest iteration of this mythical shoe.

the mizuno wave prophecy sorayama features the brand’s recognizable upper featuring angular and straight lines, as well as a muscular sole which has become extremely popular among the world of luxury. rendered in a silver colorway, the silhouette reinforces the collaboration by alluding to the artist’s previous work. the final result of the collaboration is a maximalist shoe that merges mizuno’s structural technology with the artist’s creative vision which explores his extensive oeuvre that underlines an ongoing pursuit for beauty in the human body and the machine.

from what we know, the mizuno wave prophecy sorayama will be sold only in japan at 2G tokyo, 2G osaka, dover street market ginza and KITH tokyo.
