‘add.on’ lamp by hanna krüger

created by by berlin-born designer hanna krüger, ‘add.on’ is a series of individually handmade lamps that entwines the production process and the final object. during manufacturing, the glass sconce is blown directly onto three wooden legs composed in a tripod configuration. it is the glass body along with an aluminum tube for the light that fix the legs together: ‘the tool of the production process becomes part of the product’ in a perfect and unique fit between the stand and lamp.

an edition of the ‘add.on’ floor lamp will be shown at mint gallery during london design festival 2011.
