japanese designer yuri suzuki has developed a concept for breakfast machines. he based his research on quirky contraptions that often appear in movies including pee wee herman’s big adventure and flubber.

today yuri starts building his breakfast machine at the platform21 gallery in amsterdam as part of one of the dutch design double events.

during 16–24 september, visitors will help to build the breakfast machine and from 25–26 september, breakfast will be served all-day from 12:00–20:00

dutch design double: more than twenty design-events in two dutch cities, spread over five weeks. dutch design double celebrates dutch design from the 4th of september until the 11th of october 2009.
