in order to celebrate the success of his furniture brand’s first year, brazilian designer henrique steyer has presented alternative versions of the most iconic pieces from his collection. the multifunctional stool operates as a bedside table and a living room footrest with two supporting sides that present the silhouette of a monkey. these surfaces are stabilized by a rectangular platform that passes through voids in each of their bodies. meanwhile, the niño bookshelf, in the boy and girl version, has been scaled down to 90 cm (smaller proportions than its predecessor) and can be fitted to be wall mounted. all of the pieces have countless color options in high gloss, matte lacquer, and a vast selection of wood veneers. the original versions of the pieces were exhibited in the milan design week 2014, and due to the strong patriotic appeal and playful appearance, they were showcased by the international media in more than 30 countries.
