UK-based studio hooperberg collective has transformed the site of an old british bakery to house the second location of burger brand, ‘hub box exeter’. in its second location in england, the kitchen is hidden within a reclaimed 20ft shipping container that is set in the middle of the eatery. existing concrete floors were ground back and polished, while derelict tiles and plaster were stripped away to reveal the structure’s brickwork. the restaurant utilizes simple finishes made from wisa plywood, OSB board and lacquered steel.
