the ‘quarter bench’ is designed to encourage two people to sit at right angles and engage in a conversation. in this way they are able to be oriented to fit in any interior space or function as public architecture.

wang describes his intentions for the design: ‘if one takes down the materiality and the form of this set, and describe sit in pure geometry, a field with four entrances/exits surrounded by four quarter circles pops out.’

the objective of the ‘A-A furniture’ is to again initate person to person communication. the narrow bar table can be oriented via a pivoting action for various angles and points of interaction. the stool is deliberately at a height that allows those sitting to be at the same eye level of those standing, effectively creating a ‘field’ of social activity in public spaces.

by simply augmenting the ‘O’ shape of a sphere into a ‘C’, the ‘C-lamp’ transforms to its user’s needs. the acrylic ball – supported by three heat bended red oak dowels – diffuses and directs the light source to the centre.
