our friends from inhabitat have published many images from the ICFF 2010 show in new york. designboom picked a few crazy pieces, here are our favorite finds.


‘crystal’ is a snap-together LED light, created by taiwanese company qisdesign. each LED light is a glowing icosahedron with magnets in its skin that allows it to snap to any of the other crystals. see more images at inhabitot. with the motto ‘sustainable design for the next generation’, it is the baby/parenting focused website in the inhabitat family.

metallic cloud chandelier

steel scrubbing sponges turned into a metallic cloud chandelier, created by london-based, japanese designer daisuke hiraiwa. see more images here.

‘deuces wild chair’

each day thousands of playing cards are used in the endless games of black jack and poker that take place in las vegas casinos and these cards are often quickly laid to rest to make way for fresh new packs. 350 of them were used to build this red and blue lounge chair by brc designs. see more images here.
