‘special spoons’ is a series of five utensils made for enjoying tapas, pickled goods and your favorite snacks. ineke hans has designed the cutlery as a sprue kit, their small scale perfect for all those small containers that are stored in your refrigerator. conceived for royalVKB, ‘special spoons’ includes: a scoop for jams and chutneys; one specially formed for getting condiments such as mayonnaise out of jars, as well as for spreading tapenades; a perforated spoon to fish for olives and small onions; a pointy fork for nabbing those gherkins out of a jar; and a tiny spoon for those food items which you use more sparingly such as chili, horseradish, sambal and wasabi.

each piece of tableware has a little step at the back of its handle which allows one to balance it on the rims of jars, offering a ‘no mess’ serving option.
